The water jet has been utilized to clean the body of ships. However, this is usually done manually and requires an operator’s skill to achieve a uniform wash out. Another problem is that there are many operation steps involved and it uses a large amount of water. But now, Sugino Machine’s ship-body cleaner can solve these problems. The cleaning speed is up to three times faster than before and uniform cleaning is accomplished. Also, because it can remove the degraded layer of antifouling paint, which used to be painstaking work, the new paint can adhere strongly to the body surface in the repainting step. |
