Plant Equipment Division: Water Jet
Plant Equipment Division utilizes ultrahigh-pressure technology, which is one of Sugino Machine's core technologies, to develop and manufacture water jet related products for cleaning, peeling, chipping, and cutting.
High-Pressure Washing
A lineup of high-pressure pumps and washing attachments utilizing high-pressure water jet energy is available for cleaning heat exchangers, pipes, and reactors in plants effectively. Cleaning done with a water jet allows only scales and dirt to be removed without damaging the base materials.
Peeling and Chipping
Concrete chipping done with a water jet generates no vibration and low noise since there is no contact. It causes no damage to reinforcement bars and can effectively remove fragile parts only.
The unit can also be used for peeling paint coatings and other similar jobs. Since it does not use any solvents and creates no dust, it facilitates a clean working environment.
Water Jet Cutting
This unit utilizes ultrahigh-pressure water jet energy to cut all types of materials from food products to metals into any shapes.
The division offers a diverse lineup of systems to meet the needs of various applications such as three-dimensional shape cutting using 5-axis control and energy-saving cutting using a servo motor driven pump (patented).
Pressurization
Technology to compress and pressurize water in containers can also be used in the development of high value-added products such as the hydroforming of ceramics and the unheated cooking and sterilization of food products. For example, jam gelled under a pressure of 400 MPa are already available in the marketplace.
