"Hydro Speed Regulator" Hydraulic Feed Rate Control Unit Q&A

Regulator Q&A

Q1. What does the Hydro Speed Regulator do?

The Hydro Speed Regulator adjusts the cutting feed rate by using an air cylinder.
The appropriate cutting feed rate is determined by the diameter of the object being cut and the workpiece materials.

Q2. What is the difference between the RB and R-A models?

 RB-○○○○model/Spring return type

This is better suited for normal drilling processing.
In this type, the piston rod returns automatically in an unloaded state.

R-○○○○A model /Air return type/Step feed type

This is better suited for deep hole processing
The piston rod doesn’t return automatically and keeps its position even when unloaded. The piston rod returns by a supply of air. In deep hole processing, the drill must be withdrawn from the work hole, and then chips must be removed and the oil supply to the work hole must be cut off. (Step feeding)
Because the air return type has a mechanism that keeps the rod in its present position until air is supplied, a quick feeding up to original cutting position is possible even after quick feeding up to the return end for removing chips. (It is recommended that the air supply returning the rod be controlled by the forward end and return end signals (AND).) Step feeding is possible by using a MCB-1 model step controller.
