Based on the versatile SELFEEDER DUO, which uses servo motors for both the spindle and feed axes, it incorporates three essential features required for high-precision robotic machining.

①Spindle Feed Mechanism
A linear guide and ball screw for the feed mechanism offer high-speed precision machining independent of the robot accuracy. The robot is only required to set angle and position.
②Highly – Rigid Sliding Unit
When the robot reaches the machining position, the exceptional rigidity and straightness of the slide unit take over for accurate milling operation. This achieves optimum flatness that is difficult to attain with a standard robot by itself.
③Automatic Feed Adjustment System (AFAS)
This system automatically changes machining conditions by detecting the machining load to the feed axis. It allows easy and efficient robotic machining without resetting the stroke for every machining condition change.

■ Detects tool tip engagement
・Slows down the cutting feed rate and reduces robot deflection.
・Automatically corrects machining start point deviations caused by irregular and curved die-cast surfaces.

・Pre-stroke setting is not required for each material’s thickness.
