In recent years, societal issues have been diversifying and becoming more complex, and there is an increasing expectation and demand for companies to solve these issues. The Sugino Machine Group embodies the “Sugino Philosophy” and has established an internal system to swiftly capture and respond to the expectations of society and stakeholders.
In our organization, the administrative department serves as the core unit. It identifies and prioritizes the expectations and requests of diverse stakeholders. These are discussed and decided upon in monthly board of directors’ meeting and executive committee attended by senior management, as well as in bi-monthly planning sessions. Specific strategies are then implemented across related departments and subsidiaries, where planning and execution are carried out locally to achieve our goals.
Sustainability Awareness Initiatives
In order to advance our efforts in sustainability, we consider it crucial to raise awareness and enhance sustainability consciousness among our employees. Starting from the fiscal year 2023, we conducted education sessions focusing on fundamental human rights respect and diversity primarily for SUGINO Machine’s management team. Following this management training, we will extend these educational efforts to all employees to further enhance awareness across the entire company.
