Supporting KATALLER TOYAMA ‘Dream Classroom’
Since 2015, we have been partnering with the professional soccer team “KATALLER TOYAMA,” visiting various elementary schools in Toyama Prefecture to conduct “Dream Classrooms,” where we interact with children.
This project, conducted jointly by KATALLER TOYAMA and Sugino Machine, aims to create opportunities for children in Toyama Prefecture to interact with top athletes. Through these interactions, we hope to convey the importance of having dreams, making efforts towards them, and the benefits of physical activity for both mental and physical growth.
Student Internships and Factory Tours
As part of our efforts to support students who will shape the future of manufacturing, we accept high school interns every year with the goal of providing them with hands-on experience in manufacturing and fostering their interest in the field. Additionally, we welcome factory tours for a wide range of students, from elementary school to university level. As part of our activities contributing to the development of manufacturing, we will continue to strive to support these initiatives.

Community Cleaning Activities around the business premises
We conduct beautification activities around the surrounding areas of each business site twice a year.
The labor union conducts an annual ‘Cleaning Operations,’ during which employees and their families clean the surrounding areas of our premises. After the cleaning, we offer a tour of our business site exhibition room and factory for those interested, promoting understanding of our company’s operations among employees’ families.

Cherry Trees Open to the Public
Sugino Machine has cherry trees planted on company grounds both in Japan and overseas, with all the cherry trees on the grounds blossoming at once in the spring.
At the Namerikawa Plant, the cherry trees are open to the public every year so that local residents may freely view the cherry blossoms. When it gets dark out, lights are provided for visitors to admire the cherry blossoms.

The Toyama Brand
Sugino Machine was founded in Osaka, but relocated during World War 2 to Toyama Prefecture, where founder Rinpei Sugino was originally from.
Since then, the company expanded its manufacturing base in Toyama Prefecture, where the abundance of water of the Tateyama Mountain Range and popularity of monozukuri has continued to support the company’s activities there.
Sugino’s water jet cutter has been certified under the Toyama Brand endorsed by Toyama Prefecture.
